The Veterans Conservation Corps, held their first historical restoration class at Fort Worden and at other Port Townsend locations in April of 2009.
The mission of the Veterans Conservation Corps is to assist veterans by providing training and volunteer opportunities that help to restore and protect Washington state’s natural resources...and in this case, some fantastic old buildings in Port Townsend.
